INITIATIVES IN MGM HS SCHOOL, THIRUVALLA, THAT FOSTER THE MENTAL HEALTH OF STUDENTS INTRODUCTION Mental health for young children, who are the ambassadors the nation, is quintessential. Schools are the secondary sphere of socialization, development and growth for children. An emphasis on education has existed for more than hundred years and continues to grow as part of school curriculum. There has been a renewed emphasis on schools to emphasis the mental well-being of children. In the present educational system in India, there are many activities that are being arranged by schools for the overall development of students, they include : National Service Scheme(NSS), National Cadet Corps (NCC), Indoor and outdoor games, Festival, Assembly, swimming etc... These kind of co-curricular activities provide students with skills they do not always get the time or opportunity to develop in the classroom NEED · ...
